Like all Stans stories, this pop comes with a great one as well. There are 12 custom red chrome pops, silver chrome, and blue chrome. This is #1 of 12 of the red one as you can see on the EXCELSIOR certificate of authenticity. So heres the background on this pop.

In 2016 Stan had signed these pops, the ones in red. However, an artist took these pops and did a custom chrome job of red, silver, and blue ones. Look closely these pops are not chrome of the same color, like most recent chrome Batmans or Marvel ones. Check out the glasses, the cape, and the rest of the body, each has a different color, which means each piece had to be carefully taken apart, chromed, then put back together. This is a true art piece and not just any regular autographed pop by Stan. Lets face it, Stan was a prolific signer throughout his legendary career. So a autographed Stan Lee item isnt that rare. However, if you have been keeping up with his lifes story, then you will know that the last couple years of Stans life had been rough. He was put through these hours long signing sessions and people were telling him how to sign his name towards the end.

Its sad but the fact during the last couple of years his signature had been getting less and less legible. This piece of art comes with a very nice red signature thats clear and recognizable.
